What's Buzz-worthy: Five Star's accessibility now as a high-end brand keys upon the volume -- since you only get two autos per box, it's a cheaper box. That can be hit and miss when you have young guys on the checklist but this box was clearly a hit. The Ripken auto you see here is one in every 47 boxes -- or six cases. That's not even close to the flashiest kind of card found in these boxes -- it's just a simple but rare parallel -- but it's still a solid A box. There are big-name rookies, MLB logoman patch autos, batting glove autos and more to land here. This is a high-end brand so your chance at notables is definitely there though there will be Muncy cards out there to balance out the Ripkens -- and he's not bad, he's just no Ripken. High-end boxes can be hit and miss -- and I'd bet some cases don't wow rippers because of the lofty expectations that collectors will have for the brand. But they are in there -- not in every case, but in there. If the singles you want are lower than box price, I'd definitely say pick off those singles but there are a lot of solid cards in this one that justify ripping into a pack -- especially with all of the key newcomers from last year and this year found here.
