What's Buzz-worthy: It's almost time for WrestleMania so Buzz is prepping for #BuzzMania5 on April 1 -- a day of wrestling Buzz Breaks every hour -- and as part of that prep I realized I had one of these set aside in my stash that I hadn't presented here. What is it? Well, on its surface, it's a reminder of what's also gone from the Topps WWE licensing deal being over -- there are no more Slam Attax gaming releases to come. Attax is a long-running gaming option commonly sold in the UK and Europe and this box was a sampling of the India edition -- basically the same but just packaged differently for sale there. The last one of these I ripped was really loaded with duplicates, triplicates and more. This time? Back to reality -- which means I got more of the typical names but not extras of top names ... and in some cases no cards for the top names at all. (For example, I got three Ronda Rouseys and three cards of The Rock last time ... zero this time. And some cards I had four or five copies.) ... Why rip it? Well, we're talking less than $1 a pack here and this set includes some pre-RCs for some names. (I don't really consider gaming to be RC territory, maybe "XRC" if you're familiar for that.) Among those are Rhea Ripley (RCs in 2020 releases). This set, which arrived in late 2019, is pretty standard -- 349 total cards with rosters, objects, championships, some extra "stars of the show" cards and then "OMG! Moments." Then there are SP foils for Hall of Famers and Champions to finish off the set. The LE cards are numbered separately but not on the checklist. The stock here is super-skinny and the packaging and cutting isn't perhaps as crisp as you'd expect for most releases, but I like the feel of this one. Design-wise these are clean and simple ... and being so cheap I don't mind the break.
Product Grade: A-
Box Grade: B+
Fun Grade: B (good fun and value here but won't have big prices paid for most notable cards)
