What's Buzz-worthy: Landing The Miz as my first autograph here didn't have me uttering his catch-phrase, but Awwwwesome! might apply to the sum of everything in this release which is our first WWE Chrome set since 2015. It's not without some flaws, but I still give it A+ for the product as its strong across the entire range of possibilities. The only drawback? Some stuff isn't the easiest pull -- even in hobby -- which makes me wonder whether the various formats need to add in their own exclusive parallels next time. (After all, Atomic Refractors were kind of an impressive deal in the 2014 and 2015 releases ... and at the same time there's no reason those couldn't return in color of some form, right?) Packs here include a Refactor and an Insert more items than not and then you have some very strong images and a unique design that hasn't been used elsewhere before. (I'm 99 percent sure on that one ... let me know if I missed something.) The good news on this box? My second autograph was much stronger as it was a parallel insert -- those do have sticker autos -- of a notable women's star. (The auto is a little rougher this time but better than a lot you can find here.) The only drawback here is the color Refractors -- even in hobby they start at one in 57 packs ... the same as blasters. Since you get more packs in a box, they show up in these larger boxes more often but that's the same rate. The regular Refractors are strong but them arriving in every pack won't bolster that value over time if you ask me ... at least on those that aren't top names. For the first time in Chrome history, the hobby boxes include two autos -- a big reason to rip -- and there are some young stars with ink and RCs to be found here that also add quality. Interestingly, the "first NXT card" logo appears to be out the window as RC logos here are found on the first-time NXT stars in this set. That's a good move as they are part of the base set ... so they should say RC. (NXT cards have been both inserts and in base sets in past so this fixes the inconsistency of the logo usage. If they are in the main set, they should be RCs.) ... These breaks aren't as super-flashy beyond all of those Refractors but it's a good set where you can find some names more than once between all of the possibilities. All this one needed is more color flowing regularly in hobby boxes here and it wouldn't be toppable. This one makes me wonder how long we'll have to wait for another Chrome set ... I'm ready.
Product Grade: A+ (strong photos and good stuff across product)
Box Grade: A- (Flair auto is one in 202 packs)
Fun Grade: A-
