What's Buzz-worthy: The COVID delays have wreaked a little havoc on the release calendar for all sports but for WWE it might be a little more obvious as this one arrives quickly on the tail of Topps Chrome WWE and they are particularly similar in their structure at retail -- ink is not easy at all with autos one in 860 packs (144 blaster boxes) for starters. Parallels are a little easier to land here but not in every pack like Chrome. Refractors are one in three whole colors, which are a lot more impressive here, start at one in 34. (It's higher in Chrome.) Like Chrome, hobby boxes are the home of two autographs in every box -- I'll rip that at some point soon -- but one huge difference here is a batch of extended base set cards that are one in 100 packs. Any card over No. 101 is one of these and they apparently have parallels ... so watch for that. There's a Rob Gronkowski card in the mix as well as some legendary names and at least one rookie to perhaps watch. My autograph here is not a pricey one -- I'd be shocked if it got $20 selling -- but the odds here? They were a smackdown. That card? It's one in 4,866 packs. There are some RCs here not in Chrome -- a reason to watch some names -- but I think I like Chrome's approach better with framed photos vs. cutouts on a background here. (Some of the crops here seem too distant and some are downright awkward.) All in all, this one is a nice rip at SRP for blasters -- a good name on an insert or key rookies can make a blaster decent. Color on the right name would be a win. Hobby is easily your first stop for this one, especially with one online big-box store's site trying to get $35 a pop for these while they are $19.99 in stores. (That's just weird.) I picked up a handful of these and three of them were really odd boxes in that they over-delivered while one was a disappointing normal. Those ink-free boxes will pop up here next ... unless I make good on my hobby box promise sooner than later.
Product Grade: A-
Box Grade: A+ (the odds on that ink are crazy)
Fun Grade: B- (tiny boxes and long odds in blasters)
