What's Buzz-worthy: Earlier this year, I grabbed some Slam Attax Reloaded MITB tins and was disappointed to see that the packs inside bounced around in the tins all the way from the UK. That lead to a vast majority of the black-bordered, thin-stock cards here having badly damaged corners and edges ... a nightmare if you're worried about condition or even grading. I waited until recently to dabble once more (conversion rates and international shipping/taxes slowed plans) but I jumped when Topps UK created these combos to offer a little more volume for a reasonable price (around $30 shipped). I bit on three of these with their good volume and then the extra Relic and XL cards in the mix. (Good names among the XL cards can sell pretty well as the eight cards are only available via orders placed on the Topps' UK site.) You'll see one more of these in the first 2021 #Buzz8in8 marathon day of breaks sometime next month. ... So, why rip these? Well, the small tins won't have as much damaged stuff (still had too much) compared to the MITB tins and the packs here are the homes to some exclusives. (Just 27 percent of the McIntyre print run is Silver, 18 percent Gold and nine percent Platinum Red ... the rest are Bronze.) A bigger picture reason why? These gaming cards made only for European markets can include first cards for a number of new stars -- and for some of them these were their only WWE cards all year as COVID delays have jammed much of 2020 into the last few months for American cards. I like the design here a lot -- it's bold and colorful -- and the first-timers are good ... though now we've got cardboard for all of them with the arrival of the NXT set this week. (Look for one of those as a Buzz Break next week.)
Product Grade: A+
Box Grade: A-
Fun Grade: B+ (combos give decent volume for lower price but small tins still yield damaged stuff)
