What's Buzz-worthy: It's been a few years since I opened one of these and, ultimately, the result is the same save for the ink. One is a big-leaguer now, one is in the minors and the third played last year but nothing yet this season. So, could have been better, could have been worse ... so really an average box this time. ... As I noted before, this retail-only release is the only release for this one (though it does have a Metal hobby-channel counterpart though they are not parallels of each other) and it's packed with prospects who are new and some who are already in MLB all within a cleaner re-do of the 1989 Pro Set NFL design. It's a simple one -- a boxed 50-card set and three top-loaded autos per box. Ink possible here includes Witt, Dominguez (redemption), Hassell, Spencer Strider, Shohei Ohtani, Acuña, Leiter, Lawlar, Mayer, Harris and a ton more guys who aren't even in the base set. It's a deep one.
Product Grade: A- (strong lineup with big ink not in base set on the checklist)
Box Grade: C+ (probably more of a typical box this time)
Fun Grade: C+ (just a set and autos, not packs)
