What's Buzz-worthy: My second box of this was similar to the first -- some flash but nothing that's a home run -- but, this one was stronger with ink for future Hall of Famer Dale Murphy, which is an upgrade from the rookie auto I landed last time. (I actually don't think I have ever pulled a Murphy auto, either, despite him being a regular signer in recent years.) My Purple parallel here is one in five boxes but ultimately nothing rarer or that big of a deal perhaps outside of Cincinnati. ... As I noted last time, aesthetically, all of the various blacked-out approaches at cardboard (everybody has done them) haven't really grabbed me, but this approach might if it were in a slightly less high-end release. All in all, I do think this one is worth the look if you're chasing hits and rarities and not worried about the price tag. Over time, the basics from hobby-only releases with guaranteed hits like this will be tougher to find as the sheer volume of cards made won't compare to the standard stuff. If you find this one on the cheaper side of things, it's worth the look as there's solid potential.
Product Grade: B
Box Grade: B+ (nothing big here but Dale Murphy ink is a respectable find)
Fun Grade: B
