What's Buzz-worthy: This brand is historically a pricier counterpart than its Bowman Chrome, Topps Chrome or Bowman's Best brethren but it's also one that's a tad more democratic with its mini-box format and ink in every single one of those minis, too. This time? I got a rarer auto of a name with promise -- that Green is one in 118 packs (10 boxes) -- and a decent run of names on parallels that are all tougher than one per box. (None tougher than one in 30 packs.) My run of RCs here? Pretty good. The stars? OK, but perhaps pitcher-heavy in this box as I didn't note a lot of stars here. My inserts beyond the Trout were a little soft, too, but overall this box shows you how there's good potential here to hit it big if you find key names in some of those spots. I actually like this release more than others on the annual calendar though I've never dug in as heavily due to cost. This time in this card environment? It might be worth the look because there's no retail component here -- that should help cap the volume of the basic stuff, meaning your stars will be safer to sit on as the clock ticks. Do some searches of this brand from, say, five or 10 years ago and I think you'll see less volume out there for Finest than other comparable brands. Some might not sell for as much ... but that might make them better buys than the stuff that's more plentiful in comparison. All in all, this one feels pretty solid to me ... and I didn't even land a huge box.

Product Grade: A
Box Grade:
 B+
Fun Grade: A- (little boxes but they feel loaded with stars, RCs & more)
