What's Buzz-worthy: I picked off one of these months ago with an eye on one name I who collect here ... but I didn't land her so this sat. Besides, the Chromed version of this is way stronger (keep reading for those details), but it's also Wrestlemania season so here we are. ... This release is one that is a clean and interesting gaming set in its look and inclusions but with some issues -- at least with this Topps India version -- when it comes to the materials and the printing. (The cards are identical to the UK version but the materials and packaging here are a lot sloppier with more condition issues in the end result ... only really an issue if you like to grade cards -- and I would like to grade some stuff here.) If you don't know, Slam Attax cards are a vibrant and affordable rip if you're just looking for names to add to your collection, early cards of new stars or a flashy rip on the cheap. They were primarily made for the UK and European market (not sold in the U.S.) and then the Topps India crew re-issued the UK version of the set with everything but the hits. This is one of a few packages made for that market that you can find out there without breaking the bank, though all of this stuff is drying up a bit in pack form since it's now a few years old. It's not a perfect release -- a lot of stock and cutting issues -- but the basics are nice. I do like this one but the Chrome version -- one that has a lot better print quality, rare Refractors and autographs -- is even better. That one can be found here. That link is absolutely the way to go with this one with big stuff very possible -- but autos are not in every box. Also, with the John Cena heel turn for 'Mania, the nWo card here is perfect, too.
Product Grade: A- (India version is more of a B/B+ .... see below)
Box Grade: B (affordable and good volume but ... see below)
Fun Grade: C (edge, corner, creasing and curling issues can affect nearly all cards here)
