What's Buzz-worthy: This is a brand I have generally liked but not ripped a lot of in recent years despite it packing a good amount of variety and inserts into blasters quite well. This year is no different though with more cards and one more pack per box than last year the volume of inserts/parallels actually went down. My hit here was the right team and a rookie but perhaps the wrong rookie ... but I appreciate there being a hit per box here. The hobby boxes are where the big stuff resides and this one has always been the home for big-time memorabilia cards and more. I don't think I've opened any hobby boxes of this one this the Donruss years -- yep, it's been some time -- but it's one I like generally speaking. Blasters here are the home of Lava parallels and Green parallels and both can be found for base or inserts here. The base design is in the wheelhouse for the brand but feels perhaps cleaner than usual while this year's crop of insert designs doesn't feel as tight as last year, which I thought was pretty strong. All in all, this one feels right.
Product Grade: B+ (huge hit potential in hobby)
Box Grade: B+ (good mix of names in all spots helped ... meanwhile, the hit has condition issues)
Fun Grade: B+
