What's Buzz-worthy: This one continues to be a bit weird for me. How?My 15 base cards here were almost 100-percent the same as last two times I opened a box. This one had just one base Chronicles card that was different than my past two boxes. The rest was the generally correct mix of the other brands with Bronze parallels in the mix and once again I didn't land any numbered Green parallels or any autographs. Two pluses? I landed strong RCs -- though not all that pricey -- for NXT newcomers Cora Jade and Tiffany Stratton and this box did not appear to have any of the dented card-back issues that were big-time problems in some of my earlier boxes. ... The array of possible finds in this release should make it an easy A+ in my book if all was clean -- it's a catch-all loaded with stars and a number of NXT newcomers who had zero cards before this release or are RCs in anything from 2022. ... Hobby boxes have a lot more going on, though, including two autos per box every time and then a number of chases that are in the case level -- but I'd argue that the market price on those right now pretty much exceeds almost all returns if you're ripping. (Why I have only opened one.) This one? It doesn't feel as lean as Prizm but if you strip away the variety of the subsets/brands within the release then it's somewhat limited with just Bronze and Green parallels across the board and then seven sets of Red parallel autos -- rare finds for sure. I'll probably do more if they remain available and are cheap ... but my expectations for big cards won't be there opening any of them. Rip hobby boxes if you're expecting to chase premium stuff.
Product Grade: A in its concept ... B with all of the production/collation issues
Box Grade: A-
Fun Grade: B+ (almost identical run of base Chronicles cards as my last two boxes)
