What's Buzz-worthy: I waited some time to dig in on this one since it arrived with a $24.99 price tag at retail this year -- not worth the bump to me vs. what it has delivered in the past -- but when I found this closer to the previous norm I bit. While I still think I'll be a one and done for this one, I was pleasantly surprised with the freshened look here that adds some color and quirkiness to the design on base cards, which is important as that's mostly what you're getting here. Especially at retail. The RC volume was way, way down in this box (I had 14 RCs in the last blaster I opened last year) while the variety wasn't that deep here, either. My inserts were the standard stuff save for a Green parallel of a mini -- that's one in 933 packs (seriously) -- and then a Wander Franco on the die-cut, which is one per 16 packs (every third blaster or so). This was relatively standard otherwise but the color looks good -- if you do hobby you should get some of that and plenty more along with guaranteed hits in this one. For me, I liked the brand a lot more with minis one per pack -- I'm a broken record saying that -- but they have been gone since 2016 ... that's as much time as when they were around since the brand started in 2011. There are a number of variation types to find here -- see the checklist above where the cards are noted -- but they weren't in this box. There are also a number of hit types and other higher-end finds possible in this format, too, but at higher odds. The basic variations start at one in 51, while autos start at one in 63 ... you're guaranteed ink in hobby boxes. You can even find booklet cards in blasters (one in 23,025 packs) as well as the rarest finds -- autographed lineup card relics (one in 322,360), too. If you're lucky. I liked the looks of what I found here but the brand is very similar to past releases for this one -- so if you ripped into it then you likely have already. I think it's worth the look vs other releases for sure with two autos in every hobby box.
Product Grade: B+ (base cards look stronger than past years ... but it's still funky)
Box Grade: A- (one rare pull and one good name among the inserts ... but rip hobby)
Fun Grade: B
