What's Buzz-worthy: This is one that, when it arrived last year, I didn't bother even sniffing as there are only base cards as the main meat here -- and it's not the strongest series on the Rookie Card front save for the big one I did find. Atop that, the only extras here are placed directly atop the stack of cards inside the box (on their sides) meaning the chance for damage even in the best of circumstances is strong. In my case, it was 100-percent a given as I made the mistake of getting this from a big-box store where it was just thrown into a large plastic envelope with no protection leaving the corners to bounce around in the FedEx bins for several states until it arrived in my hands. When I popped the lid? Wander Franco staring me in the face as the top bonus card. (Timely disappointment.) Thankfully, there was one lone card in that stack that somehow avoided the notable bottom-right corner mangling ... a Julio Rodriguez. Below that was the lone big card here -- I beat the one in 239 box odds and found a Red Fresh Faces card ... also mangled. The rest of the box was standard stuff -- dry and lean save for stars on combo cards -- and then one top RC in a cleaner form but not perfect like a lot of them here thanks to the box type and weak shipping. Had this one been mailed properly, it would have been a fun box as long as one has reasonable expectations -- this would have exceeded them -- this format is about giving you a chunk of base cards fast. The only rarer cards to find here are the one in 2,288 box Gold Fresh Faces. Other colors for those include Blue, Black and Purple with the easiest being one in 13. It's worth the look if you want basics without breaking the bank -- hit that link up top to get some at a solid price ... and better shipping.

Product Grade: B+ (better design than last year -- just needs something more)
Box Grade:
B+ (beat the odds, but this format is far too lean)
Fun Grade: C (damaged rare card and damaged other cards put damper on this box)
