What's Buzz-worthy: I feel like this one was a little better than my first with one more rookie, a few more advanced tiers and some better names here and there, too, but the eBay prices on my in theory rarer stuff here was underwhelming ... so maybe that's a sign that a lot of this one is out there -- at least for now. Or, perhaps the parallel spreads here are so big that even a basic retail parallel can't compete? Maybe but a big name will always be a big name ... so once stuff starts to dry up maybe there will be winners here more than now while eBay is flooded. ... As I said last time, generally speaking, especially with retail of this brand, I like the approach for Select ... so I grabbed a couple of these with one name in mind -- Victor Wembayama -- but struck out. (That's OK, I won big when I dabbled with Prizm -- see this month's Making The Grade.) ... Everything in retail being a parallel of some sort is a move that could make these more popular over time as people turn this direction after hobby boxes are ripped and dry up. The tiered approach here adds variety but this one didn't feel as impactful as the WWE or NFL versions but this box once again only had one insert with the rest being tiered finds and parallels atop that. ... Mezzanine are only found here and Flash Prizms are only in blasters and there are rarities here like Tiger and Zebra cards as well as ink to be found, too. (That odds panel is loaded.) If you're not committed enough to do full-on hobby boxes or other pricier ones (I'm not), these are a good way to dabble or even dig in hard.
Product Grade: A- (retail version grade ... I don't mind the color on everything)
Box Grade: A- (not a lot of dollar value on secondary here but some good names found with color/tiers)
Fun Grade: B- (a ton of parallel/tier variety here -- a ton of blue -- but only one traditional insert)
