What's Buzz-worthy: It's been some time since I opened any UFC stuff -- just not in my core collecting realm at all -- so when I spotted this one out in the retail wild as a straggler box (last on shelf) I bit. Ultimately, it delivered as it should with a few inserts that aren't in every blaster box all lining up to help push this one into a low A-grade showing. Can it be topped? Oh, yes. ... The set has 100 "Common" tier base cards, another batch of 100 "Uncommon" tier cards and then 100 "Rare" cards -- a structure that older collectors are probably familiar with if they opened Finest in the mid/late 1990s. At least one of the looks is from that time, too, so perhaps that adds to some appeal here. Aqua Glitter -- an odd color/texture pick for UFC -- is the exclusive find here and I received what I should have with pretty much all across the board, though a few of these inserts are, on paper, supposed to arrive in every other box. All in all, this was a colorful but immensely repetitive rip with not a lot of variety ... but at least studio shots are more clean and consistent than some past Finest WWE releases that could have funky images atop funky designs. This is crisper but I think it needs some kind of extra flash -- at least in this format -- or something that could make this small-format box more fun. Not all the cool stuff needs to be a rare case-chase kind of pull, which seems to be more and more common at times in a lot of Chromed stuff the last few years. The entire box is below -- all but basically three cards have, in essence, the same look.
Product Grade: B+
Box Grade: A- (a few slightly rarer inserts -- stuff roughly every other blaster -- lined up here)
Fun Grade: C+ (a lot of repetition here ... needs more variety)
