What's Buzz-worthy: I knew what I was getting into here with this ultimately being a repack of assorted signed photos -- a dozen signed photos every time -- and there is a minimums guarantee on the front panel of the box with one key word in there ... or. A Hall of Famer, multi-signed photo or multi-time All-Star in every box. In this one? Morris is a two-time All-Star and Vander Meer is the biggest name here as a four-time All-Star, World Series winner, Sporting News Player of the Year winner and, of course, the only player in MLB history to throw back-to-back no-hitters. The rest? An oddball mix of recognizable names and some obscure ones, too, where they might not even have a whole lot of card appearances. (Plus, one name popped up twice.) This one was rough -- rougher than I admittedly expected -- but I can live with adding a Vander Meer auto here and I'll survive one that's perhaps more generously graded below since I landed this at a big discount as part of a holiday bundle with several other small boxes inside for a price not substantially higher than the standard price here. (So either the others are close to free or this was discounted ... however you want to look at it.) Had I paid more? Definitely rougher. Had I landed a multi-signed piece or a notable name? Easy win. The sale price up top still checks in at less than $10 per photo here ... so I think that's still worth the look -- as long as you find something solid. Vander Meer is a notable name but he's not expensive at all. One curious thing, which has its benefits, is how the images are packaged here. They are bagged and boarded like comic books with a seal stating the subject on the back. I kept them in their bags and tucked them away for storage and didn't open any to see if they included any other kinds of certifications or stickers on the backs (Olson has some sticker from its original signer but that's the only one, while the packaging does note that there are third-party authenticated pieces in the mix.) Ultimately, the Historic Autos stickers on the back serve as tying it to this series ... another reason I didn't pull any from their sealed bags. I might pull Vander Meer (who died in 1997) out for a top-loader if I ever get on an organizational kick but it's OK in a bag/board there, too. For a lower price, I rolled the dice and this one was mostly a miss ... but if I spot it on the cheap again there's a moderate chance I might bite again because this one is, even when rough, perhaps still better than some options out there in this price range.

Product Grade: B- (big stuff is possible here given some of the teasers on the box ... but it seems the floor can be low, too)
Box Grade:
C- (very rough but at least I found this at a really low price as part of a bundle ... and it wasn't missing its minimums)
Fun Grade: C- (see above ... the lower price helped but the duplicated photo also hurt)
