What's Buzz-worthy: This is a brand that, in past years, I went in on pretty heavy, but, in more recent years, I didn't do much of at all. Not that there's anything dramatically changed here -- I just have enough cutout photo on a texture type cards in my stash and if one strikes me I might just grab it outright than open a bunch of packs. These simple retail packs captured the attention of many with their arrival not that long ago with a simple thick pack that, for me, was a little different in its feel thanks to a bonus card built into a flap on the box. This one was above average but not great in my book with some notables of the past and present and a rookie variation for a guy with seven TDs in his first 10 games and then a parallel with some flash to it. Could I have done better? Sure. Could I have done worse? Probably. All in all, this one was comfortable enough for a pack with a lower price vs. a lot of stuff out there in the retail wild. The set is pretty big so that makes your odds of finding a top name in one of the parallel spots but if you do it's perhaps a solid win vs. your cost per pack here. It's worth a look if you want to dabble for sure without going all-in on some of the bigger and pricier pack formats.
