What's Buzz-worthy: My most-rewarding card buy of 2025 is (so far) my biggest rip of 2026 ... a five-pack bundle of what is ultimately a one-off card that delivered and delivered big when it arrived just this morning. What is this? It's a single card made coinciding with the band's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last November ... one that oddly doesn't even mention that honor. I saw an ad for these online and bookmarked it last fall but had forgotten about them after seeing an ordering-to-delivery window was wide -- eight weeks -- that was a deterrent. But, I finally picked up a bundle of five packs in the final days of December figuring the gamble might be worth it. How? They're pretty much the same card every time for $19.99 but there are some parallel colors to make a chase. While figuring for the worst-case scenario, I opted for a five pack at a discounted price ($79.99) figuring I'd have a chance at a parallel to spice things up vs. grabbing a single Cracked Ice parallel card (/333) that's sold on its own for $49.99. I also liked the look of the base card -- the peppermint striped borders -- over any colors or the foil. There were no odds and no announced volume on the base cards, but I was surprised to see this morning that these packs are now sold out -- meanwhile the Cracked Ice parallel is still available. (Go figure.) I ripped into my first pack to find a base card -- as expected -- while my second yielded a Black Foil (/25) making this lot a win. (It's No. 20/25, the year of this set's release for some added triviality to the number.) Then, I continued to my next two packs -- both base -- before my finale was as big as it gets ... the Gold Foil 1/1 parallel. What's the lineup? Well, let's just say I need a Rainbow Foil (/10) and a Red Foil (/5) and then I'll own them all -- the Red might be a hotter color than my Gold to be honest. (My just-ordered Cracked Ice card is now on the way.) Why did I opt for this bundle? Well, for $80 five somewhat obscure cards -- even if the same -- just seemed better than some mega box where things are statistically speaking very likely going to be a miss from the retail aisle. One of the Red cards has sold on eBay for $750, while a Rainbow Foil has an asking price of $600 and the Black has a $300 asking ... so I just don't know what to do with myself on this one. Will I wait and see if my colors pop up again more modestly priced to collect 'em all? We'll see. This was an epic surprise ... and with the way card boxes often look these days this one was needed for this collector.
Product Grade: A
Lot Grade: A+ (as good as it gets this time)
Fun Grade: A (since they are the same card the chase is all about if you land parallels)
