What's Buzz-worthy: I picked off this meatier-sized box in the retail wild last year and, while it delivered precisely what it should have nothing really jumped out at me. Why? It's made more for the college football diehards who want deep dives into the ranks to find stars at lower levels -- not a barely-know-names casual like me. (Can't collect/afford it all ... and dabbling isn't fun at certain prices, anyway.) This one is in a more traditional display box size with the packs inside wrapped in clear cellophane, so it's obvious which pack will have your memorabilia card or your chromium-stock cards ... but all packs have a bit of something here. A different reason I didn't post this one sooner? Once I went back to it, there was little info on the box about certain details, though it does have a checklist on the bottom for all to see. The Purple cards are the base here (found most often) but hobby has completely different colors ... so that's also a little confusing, though SAGE has done this in the past. (Technically, everything here is a parallel for the standard cards.)  There's a Next Level subset in each version that adds some variety and gets notables in there again but, really, this one's mostly all about your ink, the memorabilia card and three inserts. Did I land any big cards this time? Probably not -- the one name I did know there is a former Alabama Crimson Tide guy who transferred elsewhere and is doing so again getting that extra NIL payday. That's a whole other tangent that probably doesn't help college cards and their appeal ... but with this box being part of a meaty sale from a retain chain I bit. At least I landed more stuff in it than boxes that cost me twice its price with exactly nothing inside those when it came to autographs and memorabilia cards. This one might not be the top choice for many -- but at least there are some actual hits inside. This one is a nice throwback on that front.

Product Grade: B+ (base design feels strong vs. recent years)
Box Grade:
B (five hits for an affordable price means I'll dabble)
Fun Grade: B- (very repetitive opening this format)
