What's Buzz-worthy: My second pack of these just this week delivered well among the few inserts with two top names and one top rookie in there, while my crop of RCs was pretty barren and my other base cards had some younger notables but not a ton of A-list star power when it comes to flagship base. All in all, this was probably a typical pack in a lot of ways but the names among the inserts almost got this one to an A-level grade though values here, especially over the long-term, won’t be a big deal due to plenty of this one made and plenty more to come from releases following this one this year. I didn’t get a serial-numbered parallel this time but you can’t expect that often. This one still felt like it delivered OK. ... I picked off a handful of these packs for some smaller and quicker breaks here more often and this one was ultimately closer to what I expected here -- I’m not a fan of smaller packs for this one. It’s hangers and up for me. ... Chew on the checklist, cross-check the odds, scout the singles and figure out which format’s for you. There’s a lot of stuff packed into this one -- and a lot made -- but I do think it’s a solid release for its diamond anniversary. I think other packs cough up more stuff often enough that they are safer than this one.
Product Grade: A (improved over last year and printing/cutting quality seems stronger this year)
Pack Grade: B+
Fun Grade: B (hangers or bigger formats are better in my mind)
