What's Buzz-worthy: I picked off a handful of these packs for some smaller and quicker breaks here more often and this one was ultimately closer to what I expected here -- I’m not a fan of smaller packs for this one. It’s hangers and up for me. The lone highlight of note here was the Yellow parallel that’s one in 89 packs -- should it really be that high? -- that had a little more oomph to it with the serial-number matching his uni number. That’s fun but I doubt it’s of any more interest unless somebody out there is collecting him and oddball things like this. The rookie volume here was high for sure but without an elite name, while the base was quite lean and the other inserts had some moments but guys who aren’t really hobby darlings at the moment. This was my best of these packs I opened in terms of rarer stuff, while the other packs had some better rookies. ... Chew on the checklist, cross-check the odds, scout the singles and figure out which format’s for you. There’s a lot of stuff packed into this one -- and a lot made -- but I do think it’s a solid release for its diamond anniversary. I think other packs cough up more stuff often enough that they are safer than this one.
Product Grade: A (improved over last year and printing/cutting quality seems stronger this year)
Pack Grade: A- (for the statistically harder find)
Fun Grade: B (hangers or bigger formats are better in my mind)
