What's Buzz-worthy: I'll be the first to say that gaming isn't on my everyday radar -- and I like film-based Disney stuff more than animated due to the actor aspect -- but I opted for one of these on the cheaper side of things just to mix things up here and I was a bit surprised by the character "star power" here. I'll also admit I might even grade a card or two found here just for fun. The cards are generally pretty clean -- cleaner than some other gaming releases I have opened -- but the black ink can mean some edges can show flaws at times. They're not heavily glossed -- that probably helps for smooth playing if I had to guess -- but that does make me wonder how they'd age if played. The checklist is pretty deep with Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare and Legendary tiers and the booster pack notes it will have one foil of any kind, two Rare or higher cards, three Uncommon and six basic, or Common, cards. I landed three foil -- the norm here -- but one was a Rare and one was a Super Rare and, well, I may realize how that looks the next time I rip. (Or, Buzz could just look at the box and realize that those are the Foils each time here -- and that's why there are a few versions for artwork. I did this a minute after writing that last part.) The package includes an info page, a mat and more for apparent gaming but for me (a non-gamer) these are more about landing a nice character card -- maybe some slabbing -- though I could see some appeal of chasing down everything or taking it all on in foil. There's been plenty of demand for all of this stuff and more waves are on the way including some hitting the store link up top just today. I might eye some characters here and there over the various runs as another way to collect something here without breaking the bank ... and that's one reason I grabbed this instead of some random plastic-stock card blaster for twice the price in the retail aisle. It's always good to dabble with a bit of everything, too, as you never know what might end up being more (or less) popular later. I think there's going to be potential here as time goes on, too, if playing them is anywhere near as popular as flipping them has been for some out there.
