Buzz Buys ... A LOT: Not every little player lot delivers big

Buzz buys a lot of stuff these days and for a few reasons, really. Sometimes it's just bargain-hunting, sometimes it's just something that strikes me. And other times it's a lot -- a group of things -- and that has happened enough lately I figured I'd try something different as a regularly appearing item. Sometimes my lots will be wins, sometimes they won't be ... but I'll let you decide.

A PC THROWBACK II
The Lot: About 50 cards of former MLB player Nick Swisher (mostly from 2006-2015)
The Price: Less than a jumbo pack of something in the retail wild (with tax) -- check out Retro Rips here

Keep reading for more on this one ...

What's The Deal? This lot was meaty enough for the volume/price (less than $7 ... shipped) with enough Chrome/Prizm teased that I bit. Ultimately, there were no hidden gems in this one even for a Swisher collector. It was all standard stuff this time.

What's The Steal? There was a Gold Bowman parallel in there (see gallery) but that's ultimately nothing outlandish even all these years later. This lot was only a steal for the price vs. volume (less than $3 for the lot before shipping).

Anything Missing? No. This is a lot, not a set or near-set situation.

The Lot Details ... The best stuff is in the gallery below -- though some now-gone brands stood out a little here.

Base (yes) – Not sorting them specifically this time -- you can see hints of everything in the gallery.

Insert cards (yes) – Barely any in there (three total) ... so not the best lot.

Bottom Line:
Low risk, low reward ... and in this case not much reward as I am confident that I have everything here. (Some of them many, many times.) But that can happen and, at the price paid here, it's all good.
