BuzzMania 7: Loading Up ... Ripping Some Select (Hour 10)
This entry was posted on April 5, 2024
.The biggest weekend in pro wrestling is here with WrestleMania 40 set for this Saturday and Sunday from Philadelphia. We'll make today a big one for wrestling collectors right here on The Buzz with #BuzzMania7, a marathon of WWE wax box/pack breaks all day long.
This one is a favorite of mine for sure -- especially on the retail front where everything is a parallel, insert, rarer tier or hit in these boxes -- so it just had to make today's list. And ... it's another instance where some discount-priced blaster boxes delivered pretty well. (That's actually been kind of a theme today ... that or breaking on the bargain side of things.)
The Brand: 2022 Panini Select WWE (five blaster boxes)

My Take Before I Broke This: This is one that has a lot of upside at retail if you ask me and it's one I've ripped perhaps more than anything in the Panini WWE years save for NXT cases, which hit slasher prices as you have already seen today. This one is solid on pretty much every front and every card here is a parallel, rarer tier, insert or hit ... with a strong mix of past, present and future stars all in one spot with the tiered set's power helping add a boatload of variety. It's a favorite here and it had to be in today's lineup.
Who Won The Battle? This quarter-case lot delivered nearly all of the things you might expect from a full case -- a couple autos, a couple numbered and a ton of tier parallel action. This one was a win for me at a slasher price.
--
The Top Rookies: I think I landed the better Concourse rookies here. At this moment and from this bunch, I'll go with Breakker as the top rookie but Solo has been heavily involved with The Bloodline storyline since his debut and could easily be the top guy here, too. Breakker is just newer to the main roster, while Solo could be in play as part of the main event chaos to come this weekend.

Card That Stole The Show: Normally, I'd say a Gold auto was the big winner but this Zayn Mezzanine (a rarer tier) Gold is a biggie, though it's got some errant etching along the bottom. I haven't looked but I hope that's somehow on all of them -- it doesn't ruin a nice card but it definitely isn't supposed to be there, either. It has the potential to pay for my entire box lot -- and it's one of a few signs as to why this one is a box to rip as there's potential. (Hobby includes a lot of this stuff more often with hits always in play in every box.)
Lot Grade: A+ ... This one simply over-delivered quite well on all fronts even with some lesser names on ink.
Fun Grade: A ... The variety, the color, the tiers ... it just delivers.
--
The Bottom Line: This lot absolutely over-delivered for sure and that might or might not often happen with box lots -- this is a reason to rip.
