If you're a long-time reader of The Buzz, you may remember the Steiner Sports promotion that allowed anybody, anywhere to trade in a legit Cleveland Browns quarterback autograph from the past for a $100 gift card.

Buzz's headline back in January played up the Johnny Manziel drama -- sadly, it's derailed completely since then -- and but opted to take a shot here with a cheaper auto. Buzz picked off a Connor Shaw 2014 Panini Contenders autograph from COMC.com for just $1.99, had it delivered, followed the instructions from Steiner and mailed it in.

Buzz waited but never received a gift card -- as it turns out, Steiner had so many requests as part of the promotion that it ran out of physical gift cards to mail. (Those still waiting should email the company with their info and address they used when they mailed in their Browns item.) After getting the discount info, Buzz waited again to find a key item to use the code. Today was the day as Buzz spent a few minutes to check out the site after a promotional email, wondering if a worthy item could be found and searching the game-used section, entertainment section and even the clearance rack for the right item.

And then Buzz found it.

She was a bodybuilder, a bodyguard, a pioneering women's wrestler dubbed "the ninth wonder of the world" who won men's championships, a Playboy model and, ultimately, someone who battled demons for years after leaving the wrestling world.

She was Joanie Laurer, aka Chyna, and the former WWE star died Wednesday at age 46.

"I just heard the tragic news that @ChynaJoanLaurer has passed," wrote WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon on Twitter. "She was truly a pioneer in our industry, and she will be missed. #RIPChyna."

A priceless stash of autographed items and game-used shoes from the 1992 USA Basketball Dream Team is hitting the auction block via Heritage Auctions, giving deep-pocketed collectors a shot at owning items from the one team that arguably revolutionized basketball on a global scale.

More than 20 lots are up for grabs -- all from the collection of Dr. David A. Fischer, who was the physician for the gold-winning squad, which is packed with legends.

"It's arguably the most significant offering of Dream Team game-used gear ever to surface in the collectible marketplace," said Chris Ivy, director of Sports Auctions at Heritage. "Due to the brief existence of the team, and the enormous fame and wealth of its members, very little Dream Team material has become available.

A holiday card signed by President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy is a pricey and impressive piece, but the card presently up for sale via Goldin Auctions is even more unique.

It's from 1963, and it's one of only 15 known to have been signed sometime between Nov. 18 and Nov. 20 of that year -- down time between trips -- before his death in Dallas on Nov. 22.

The official White House cards for that year also were prepared with facsimile signatures but were not sent out. These signed cards were later discovered in the 1980s, according to the auction company.

Politicians have appeared on cardboard since the earliest years of trading cards -- you know, in packs of cigarettes back in the 1800s -- and they've appeared in countless non-sports, war and even sports sets of the last 30-plus years as collecting emerged upon the national psyche and flourished as part of the pop culture landscape.

But the new Decision 2016 trading cards arriving this week include something that we haven't yet seen in a political release -- the chance at autographs and more advanced "hit" cards along with a healthy amount of traditional cardboard.

In the midst of one of the most-tumultous political seasons in years, this is a product that offers a promising start for a perhaps-expanding trading card genre of its own -- and the potential for something more.

It already appears to be a landmark release, but don't just take Buzz's word for it.

"The idea of a set that captures that drama of an election – that is compelling," said Rick Klein, who is ABC News' Political Director and also a long-time baseball card collector. "I feel like it’s something that could start as a novelty project but catch on. You’d be surprised by how many political junkies are also collectors. People love pins, hats, signs.
