Blowout's Most Wanted
Blowout Cards is buying sealed junk wax era Topps MLB cases
Some call it the junk wax era, but it's a time where many fans were collecting, many more were stockpiling and everybody seemingly enjoyed some classic cardboard and memorable Rookie Cards for some of the biggest stars and record-breakers in modern baseball -- and it wasn't just MLB cardboard that entered the public consciousness, either.
Plenty of fans were interested -- and plenty of everything was made back then -- and, in the here and now of 2025, BlowoutCards.com is buying.

Blowout MegaMix's remix ups ante for pack-ripping fans
The annual Blowout MegaMix has a remix of sorts going on this year -- and there's plenty that hasn't yet been revealed for the new mystery box coming for the National Sports Collectors Convention.
And, as usual, you don't have to go to the show to land one (click here to pre-order). There's a new approach this year that ups the variety to ideally hit more collectors' interest sweet spots while lowering the price point to let more fans dig into the chase. That simple change? Packs.
The left side of the sellsheet you see above is just the start of what's up for grabs in this edition -- this time it's a box with at least 10 packs inside as the starting point. New this year there also will be sealed cases of these boxes -- six boxes per case -- that offer up some smaller bonuses and a surer shot at some of the bonus items that are planned to land every third box with this one. The bonuses this time? See the right side above ... and that's the start.
Over the coming days, we'll take a look at more of what's in store for this year's MegaMix. Today, we look at packs ...
Blowout's Most Wanted: Panini Megapost
Panini America's FOTL boxes are in demand -- and we want more of them. (And that's not all, either.)
Not one, not two, but all of these past FOTL boxes seen below are on the Blowout's Most Wanted list -- and these are boxes we have never posted on Most Wanted before.
Is Topps Chrome Sapphire becoming the new color of choice? Plus get Blowout's Most Wanted Chrome & Topps updates here
Update: All Topps Wanted items are now attached to the gallery below, including the 2020 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Chrome Sapphire Edition Adam Bomb Padparadscha (1/1) parallel ... it's high on the list. Check out that price!

Chrome has been a collecting staple for years but when it comes to the most-popular color of late you might argue that it's Sapphire -- and that has meant green for some.
A limited release the last four years first as factory sets and then premium boxes, Topps Chrome Sapphire has continued to evolve in its format yet still deliver big blue parallels of already in-demand cards. And Sapphire releases also include their own parallel rainbows and, of course, autographs.
Asking prices on key singles over on eBay are sometimes nutty yet often many times realistic as there's definitely a limited supply for the cards from this brand. This year's edition sold out via Topps in only a few minutes.
We're also on the hunt for all boxes of this one -- keep reading for more basics and our latest Blowout's Most Wanted rewards for these.
Could Pokémon boosters be hottest boxes of last 20 years?
Could Pokémon boosters be the hottest boxes of the last two decades?
Well, if you look at the prices of those booster boxes of the past over at Blowout's Most Wanted -- boxes that only started arriving made for the U.S. market in 1999 -- the answer is arguably a big ol' Snorlax-sized "yes."
Why do I say that? What you see above is one of the reasons -- it's a Pokémon Neo Destiny 1st Edition Booster Box and the current buy price on the Most Wanted list is a cool $30,500 right now.
The scary part -- especially for all of you sports collectors that might have scoffed at gaming in the past -- is that it's not alone. Not even close.
Blowout's Most Wanted: A landmark NBA release needed
It's a landmark release that's one big key to the luxury brands that we see today -- and it's a new entry in the Blowout's Most Wanted ranks.
It's 2003-04 Upper Deck Exquisite Collection NBA and we're paying $500,000 for a sealed three-box case of this one right now. If you have one, or if you have questions about Wanted steps, email wanted@blowoutcards.com.
This one is the home of several key high-end Rookie Cards and key autographed patches -- LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and Carmelo Anthony among them -- and even some key cards for notables who didn't pan out like Darko Milicic. It's also the place where some of the priciest Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant autographed cards have been found, too.
How many might still exist? That part isn't known ... but there can't be many.
If you have one, email wanted@blowoutcards.com.
