Ferris Bueller cast members signing for Official Pix very soon
Three key cast members of a landmark 1980s film are all signing autographs for Official Pix very soon.Ferris Bueller's Day Off cast members Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara and Alan Ruck will be signing for the Texas-based company once the pre-order window closes next Monday (or sooner if they sell out).
Each of them has a very small -- or even non-existent -- presence when it comes to certified autograph cards making options like this one even more important to those who might want to chase them, though it appears the company isn't (yet) offering all three on any single piece. According to the company, this is Broderick's first private autograph signing.

eBay Buzz Weekly Update: An uncut Michael Jordan rookie, Pistol Pete's ink, a Roger Maris gem, Mad Max & USA Relics
Have you seen the latest cool or interesting items on eBay? If not, you just might see some of those here every week as we're launching a weekly version of our eBay Buzz pieces that pop up from time to time. We’ll spotlight some items that have a story or just wow us with how much interest it might have — and we’re not just talking baseball cards, either.--
RARE AIR
The Item: An uncut sheet of 1986-87 Fleer basketball cards
The Price: $709 after 24 bids (with just two days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: I've not heard of entire sheets being counterfeited but with the Michael Jordan Rookie Card (heavily faked) you never know ... but what we do know with this one is that it's not perfect but an uncut sheet with this card and this landmark set is impressive. The back of the sheet suffers from massive red ink staining so that's probably why the sheet wasn't cut and put into packs. What kind of other flaws might there be? It's not clear based on the auction images, but it generally looks pretty good on the front and it's the kind of cool impressive piece to frame and display for not only its Jordan presence but every other Hall of Famer Rookie Card that's on it. (It's not worth professional cutting with the back staining.) This one is dirt cheap right now but could go crazy before it ends.

Making the Grade (July): A Shohei Ohtani pull, a little Mookie, Ken Stabler's personally owned Rookie, 'He Hate Me' & more
Like many collectors, Buzz is a fan of grading and knows that there are many reasons that collectors choose to slab cards. Sometimes it's to enhance the appeal and protect them when selling. Other times it's to protect an investment for the long-term or to protect for sentimental reasons. Or, it might be just for fun or curiosity about a potential grade. Here's this month's grading diary here on The Buzz ...

eBay Buzz Weekly Update: Mike Trout's Heritage scorcher, game-used MLB gems, Freewheelin' Bob Dylan & Mia Wallace
Have you seen the latest cool or interesting items on eBay? If not, you just might see some of those here every week as we're launching a weekly version of our eBay Buzz pieces that pop up from time to time. We’ll spotlight some items that have a story or just wow us with how much interest it might have — and we’re not just talking baseball cards, either.NOT A ROOKIE CARD ... BUT, WHOA, IS IT SELLING LIKE ONE
The Item: 2012 Topps Heritage #207 Mike Trout
The Price: They're all pretty impressive -- both past and present
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Mike Trout doesn't have a Heritage Rookie Card but this one arrived a year later and it's selling like one both raw and graded. PSA 10 copies of this card have topped $300 while four-card raw lots have sold for as much as $250 recently. It's not short-printed but this collector never pulled one back then -- oddly -- when I pulled a few copies of pretty much everything else. You know what else is rare these days? Affordable 2012 Heritage hobby boxes and even retail boxes despite the rookie crop not being a strong one at all. (See the link below for a Hot Tip shot at some hobby packs to get in on this chase.) This card will be one to watch -- it's all over the place right now but selling way better than it should be -- as Heritage is the basic set for many of us retro-minded collectors to chase on an annual basis. The high-grade copies of this one aren't that easy -- centering and chipping can be an issue with this set -- so that's definitely driving some of the demand for this one but he's also a top player in MLB and this card does have a ton of natural appeal. Supply and demand has taken over here -- with a dash of crazy sauce, too -- but it tastes pretty good if you own a few of these.

Duplicates: 12What If ... The Rock had new Miami football cards from Panini?

The card you see above doesn't exist ... but what if it did?
Buzz has been wondering for some time now what kind of demand there might be if one of the biggest names in the world could be found in new packs of football cards. Armed with Photoshop, Buzz chose 2018 Panini Contenders Draft Picks, a set that includes stars from the past as well as new pros, to present the question.
Everywhere you look, it seems that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is there -- Apple and Ford commercials, countless blockbuster movies, Ballers on the small screen, on Under Armour shoes and clothing, as People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" ... we could go on and on here, but the point is that he's a global household name. For collectors, you'll find him on cardboard in a number of WWE sets, of course, and in a few non-sports releases, too, complete with some of his only certified autographed cards from when he was just getting his global-dominance career started.
But it all began long before that at the University of Miami -- and that's where his cardboard started, too.

One last visit to Toys R Us ... for all the other Kids out there
Barring some unforeseen need for shelving in the next few days, I made one last trek to a Toys R Us on Saturday afternoon -- Store No. 8919, according to my receipt -- in advance of its closing forever.By this time next week, the long-running toy chain will be no more as bankruptcy will be the final chapter of this story that began back in the 1940s. It will end a run that clearly had its share of successes -- and mistakes -- but one that has left an indelible mark on pop culture and kids everywhere -- and probably their parents' pocketbooks, too.
I don't wanna grow up ...
Jogging my memory a bit, I've been to Toys R Us stores in probably five states -- that's not a lot as I didn't really grow up as a true Toys R Us Kid, meaning we had to drive a couple hours to find the closest one when I was younger and most in my toy prime. But this particular store? It just might be -- actually, I can pretty much guarantee this -- it is the first Toys R Us I ever visited. When? I'm not sure when the first time happened but those same doors I walked through today were the doors I walked through long ago looking for 1988 Donruss baseball cards and other "bargain packs" all those years ago. It's definitely where I first bought a Jose Canseco Baseball Card Kit and it's where I first discovered The Conlon Collection in baseball card form. (The price was right and the history there is still priceless today.) It's where I'm sure I bought a few NASCAR diecasts in the more recent past, too, as we would visit relatives on vacation and I'd hit all the different stores in town looking for cards and whatever other interesting toy or collectable piqued my interest at the time.
