Cards per pack: 9
Cards in this lot: 47
Base set completion: 46 of 328 (14 percent)
Duplicates: 1The National: Whose autograph would you grab first?
This year's National Sports Collectors Convention is set for Aug. 1-5 in Cleveland with a meaty roster of autograph guests signing for those who opt to get a ticket and get in line for an "inkredible" moment. Some of those signers are actually free if you're at the VIP reception on Wednesday or buy a VIP ticket package -- a bonus for taking the time to hit the entire show or buy the full package for all of the other bonuses -- but other signers will take some planning to land the ones you want.
It's tough to see everything at the show -- it's that big -- and the time it takes to work through autograph lines is valuable in that it impedes your shot at seeing it all. With that said, here are my picks -- one per day -- to grab off the autograph list. (Keep reading for the full signers list in a gallery at the end.)
Stranger Things cast members have experience elsewhere (and more roles to come) -- but not a lot of cardboard just yet
The cultural phenomenon known as Stranger Things is coming to cardboard soon with the supernatural coming-of-age tale getting the Topps treatment beginning in October.
The full final details are still to come for 2018 Topps Stranger Things trading cards -- most notably how many hits per hobby box and which cast members are signing autographs for the set (see all of the early details so far right here) -- we've opted to take a look at the key cast members for the first season of the hit series from Netflix. It might surprise you to see what some of this series' stars have already done -- and what's to come soon -- and then to ponder the power of this set in the future if the autograph list includes many of them and, atop that, there's widespread demand. (That potential is scarier than a visit from The Demogorgon or a call from Will Byers.)

eBay Buzz Weekly Update: Meghan Markle's only autograph, Forrest Gump's Rookie Card, Deadpool's debut, Acuña & more
Have you seen the latest crazy items on eBay? If not, you just might see some of those here every week as we're launching a weekly version of our eBay Buzz pieces that pop up from time to time. We’ll spotlight some items that have a story or just wow us with how much interest it might have — and we’re not just talking baseball cards, either.--
THE ROYAL WEDDING'S BIGGEST CARD
The Item: 2012 Cryptozoic Fringe Seasons 1-2 Autographs Meghan Markle
The Price: $999 (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Beginning tomorrow, this American actress will potentially be known as Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Sussex as she's marrying into England's Royal Family. This is one of just a handful of trading card appearances for her in this Fringe set and this once was a relatively inexpensive signature. Now? It's pricey and a number of people will undoubtedly be interested in these cards as the international spotlight will be all over the story of how she's ended up the bride and everything that entails tomorrow. Members of the Royal Family are not permitted to sign autographs, so there won't be more to come on that front.

'Trading Cards' return with third wave of reel-world stars
The Trading Cards are back -- and they are in packs once again, too.Long-time readers of The Buzz probably remember California-based illustrator Cuyler Smith whose "Trading Cards" bring the stars of the reel world (memorable movies and TV roles) to real life using nods to memorable sports card designs from the past.
He's back with a third series and a third show -- all with a new wave of cardboard -- arriving tonight in Los Angeles.
Making the Grade (May): A perfect LeBron, Cooperstown's call, a somber Lois Lane, WWE's BOSS and ... an anime All-Star?
Like many collectors, Buzz is a fan of grading and knows that there are many reasons that collectors choose to slab cards. Sometimes it's to enhance the appeal and protect them when selling. Other times it's to protect an investment for the long-term or to protect for sentimental reasons. Or, it might be just for fun or curiosity about a potential grade. Here's this month's grading diary here on The Buzz ...
Superman's Lois Lane, Margot Kidder, dies at age 69
One of the biggest names from 1970s/1980s comic book movies is gone.Margot Kidder, who played super-reporter Lois Lane in the first four Superman films died on Sunday at her home in Livingston, Mont. She was 69.
Her acting career began in the late-1960s and included roles up until last year, but she's best-known for her time across from Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman beginning with the landmark 1978 film.
"Nothing prepares anyone for that sudden thing of being world-famous, it was such a shock," she said in a past interview. "It wasn't something I really liked or something I was very good at. I didn't realize how good the movie was until I [had] seen it at the premier in Washington."Board Buzz: Must-read threads on Blowout Forums (May 12)

eBay Buzz Weekly Update: Albert Pujols gamers, vintage wax, Deadpool 2's Domino & WWE's Sasha Banks vs. Bayley
Have you seen the latest interesting items on eBay? If not, you just might see some of those here every week as we're launching a weekly version of our eBay Buzz pieces that pop up from time to time. We’ll spotlight some items that have a story or just wow us with how much interest it might have — and we’re not just talking baseball cards, either.--
THE MACHINE'S HARDWARE
The Item: Albert Pujols MLB Authenticated Los Angeles Angels batting helmet
The Price: $7,999.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This one was worn on Sept. 25, 2015, when Pujols hit his 557th career home run -- an item that's more than just a gamer -- and it's fully authenticated by MLB (click the pic at right for closer look at that authentication number). Now that Pujols is a member of the 3,000-hit and 600-homer club -- something only four players have ever done -- there should be a little more appreciation for his memorabilia and key cards even though he's got two hobby heavyweights in the lineup with him.

LIVING IN AMERICA -- HUGE TOPPS LIVING SET INTEREST
The Item: 2018 Topps Living No. 6 Nick Markakis
The Price: $224.51 so far (after 22 bids) -- see what it's up to now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The market for 2018 Topps Living Set cards is going a little wonky for some players on eBay with the lesser-knowns and lower-volume cards from earlier weeks like this one commanding way more than you might think. Markakis sold only 2,678 copies. It shows that the interest is there from set collectors who must have it all. On the flip side, guys like Shohei Ohtani sold more than 20,000 copies and Ronald Acuna more than doubled that. Ohtani has been a steady seller for some who have opted to get theirs graded but demand for Topps Living isn't just living it's thriving right now.
