Collecting Game-used: A Banana Ball for the Wall of Pain
This entry was posted on January 16, 2026.

My first Banana Ball was one that got gnawed on during a game -- literally -- but this one, this time?
It brings the pain.
This month's item in my Collecting Game-used series is my third gem in a triple crown of game-used baseballs landed directly from the Savannah Bananas. Despite what you see above, this is no tall tale with this baseball -- it's fully authenticated, video-documented and has some ink to detail its story, too.
Keep reading to see the details this time ... and the ball in action.
THE BASICS ...
Game-used ball (CollectibleXchange & team authenticated): The Firefighters at Savannah Bananas -- Aug. 1, 2025, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore
Watch it in action: Above or click this link to view the key play in a new window. ... Then go watch this clip with some light background on Stilts.
The matchup: Bananas RP Dakota "Stilts" Albritton vs. The Firefighters 1B Dakota McFadden in the seventh inning of a 2-0 Bananas victory.
The results: A single pitch resulting in a beanball from the world's tallest pitcher, who checks in at 10-foot-9 when on the field.
What's Buzz-worthy: Oh, did I forget to mention something? This ball is fully signed with one side of the story from each of them -- a dual-autographed gamer. Do I need to say more? Well, this game was his 30th appearance of the season out of 40 played and Stilts hit just four batters. ... Beyond that, it's Friday ... and I still have work to do. This one speaks for itself and it cost me the same price as most of the other baseballs documented and sold by the team.
