The Item: Jasson Dominguez 2020 Bowman Chrome Prospects Orange Shimmer Refractor autograph (/25)
The Price: $12,850 after 54 bids (two days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This guy is a huge reason why 2020 Bowman boxes are scorchers right now and people have actually seen more than one of his sigs arrive in the same box. (Imagine that for a moment ... ) There are a number of his autos out there all with new-car prices and this one is one that has both that high price and heavy bidding. How will it end? We'll find out soon ...

PROJECT 2020 IS ON FIRE ...
The Item: Ken Griffey Jr. 2020 Topps Project 2020 by King Saladeen (BGS 9)
The Price: $2,500 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This set is a runaway right now for the set of the year and the secondary market prices for cards from this one are all over the place ... so much so I couldn't pick something that I thought would be around between the time I prepped this and then the time I published. Just 2,504 copies of this card -- the sixth in the set and first Griffey -- were made, making it one of the rarer ones from the series that's pushing the 100-card mark. In just the last two days, four cards have sold more than 248,000 copies -- a surge that's outrageous and makes the earlier cards (many between 1,000 and 3,000 copies) seem to be far tougher finds. How will this series ebb and flow (or will it grow?) over the next 300 cards will continue to make it must-watch cardboard.

NINES ARE FINE
The Item: Zion Williamson 2019-20 Panini Mosaic Rookie Card (BGS 9)
The Price: $215 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: My only two copies of this card are in the mail heading back to Panini due to having surface cuts, but that hasn't stopped me from looking at how slabs look for this key player from this scorcher of a release. It's not really a rarity but that doesn't matter as the demand is huge for this guy this year. This one might end up rivaling his Prizm Rookie Card but with the advantage that it's perhaps more easily found. There's something to be said for availability and collectibility in a heavy-flip and big-money market that we are seeing these days. There are countless parallels and in-demand versions out there, but the simplicity of the basic Rookie Card is one that should always be considered and not overlooked.

LEGENDARY DUO
The Item: Hank Aaron & Mike Trout 2020 Topps Definitive Collection dual auto (/10)
The Price: $3,999.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: While the new phenoms are driving serious sales seemingly every direction these days, some smarter money should be placed in the elite legends of the past who still sign but but sign much longer. Hank Aaron makes that list in my book and a card like this one where he's paired with the unquestioned king of the veteran players these days. Just 10 copies of this one exist and it doesn't come cheap but the other nine copies are also potentially out there right now ... but they won't be in the future -- and the boxes won't be, either. There will come a time where rarities like these should command a lot more than this.

CUT IT OUT ...
The Item: Jenny McCarthy 2005-06 Topps Chrome NBA cutout card
The Price: $399.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This Topps Chrome card appearances was supposed to follow her standard Topps NBA card and there were other appearances for this model and TV star back in the day before something went wrong. Why does she have cards? Well, Topps tried infusing some pop culture into its NBA sets and chose a handful of celebs. For whatever reason -- one that I've never heard the full story for -- McCarthy's card was cut like this as a reminder that they were to be removed from the pack-out process. But, of course, some got out. It's not an easy find and that price tag shows it.
