Eloy Jimenez is the 2019 Topps Player B mystery autograph

One of the baseball card season's big waits and mysteries is over.

Chicago White Sox rookie Eloy Jimenez is the "B" mystery rookie redemption player found in packs of 2019 Topps Series 1 as well as Topps Heritage, Topps Inception and Gypsy Queen.

The A redemption has been widely speculated to be Vladimir Guerrero Jr. but has not yet been confirmed by the company. After he makes his MLB debut, the mystery may be revealed.

The Series 1 Player B redemptions have sold for as much as $200 in eBay auctions and Heritage has commanded even more with as much as $750 paid for a red-ink autograph there.

The 22-year-old Jimenez signed a six-year, $43-million deal with the team last month. He was the No. 3 prospect in the game per MLB.com and hit .337 with 22 home runs and 75 RBI last season in 108 games between Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte. In his first five games this season, he's hit .200 (4-for-20) with two RBI and a run scored.

Originally a Cubs prospect, Jimenez has appeared on more than 900 different prospect cards with fewer than 250 of those being certified autos. His first prospect cards arrived in 2013 releases.
