What's buzz-worthy: Bowman returns for a new year with the familiar lineup that collectors have come to expect from the long-running prospect showcase.

The Basics: The base sets here once again will include 100 stars and rookies as well as 150 prospects just like 2021 with each of them having a familiar rainbow of parallels. The rundown for both includes Sky Blue (/499), Neon Green (/399), Fuchsia (/299), Purple (/250), Blue (/150), Yellow (/75), Gold (/50), Orange (/25; hobby-only), Red (/5) and 1/1 Platinum as well as printing plates. ... The Chromes will include standard Refractor (/499), Speckle (/299), Purple (/250), Fuchsia (/199), Fuchsia Lava (/199), Blue (/150), Blue Shimmer (/150), Aqua (/125), Aqua Shimmer (/125), Green Mini Diamond (/99), Yellow (/75), Yellow Mini Diamond (/75), Gold (/50), Gold Shimmer (/50), Orange (/25; hobby-only), Orange Shimmer (/25; hobby-only), Red (/5), Red Lava (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors as well as printing plates. ... There also will be a Prospector's Special diecut (/49) to chase. ... The insert lineup will include Top 100 (six per hobby box), Hi-Fi Futures (four per), ROY Favorites cards (three per) and Virtuosic Vibrations (three per). Joining them will be Bowman in 3-D and 2022 Bowman Invicta, which will fall one per box. All but the Invicta will have a rainbow of parallels that includes Atomic (/150), Aqua (/125), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Supers. Invicta will exclude Aqua.

Chrome Prospect and Rookie autos, which combine to be found one per box, have similar rainbows but the prospects once again include more. For prospects, there will be Refractors (/499), Speckle (/299), Purple (/250), Blue (/150), Atomic (/100), Yellow (/75), Gold (/50), Gold Shimmer (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Shimmer (/25), Red (/5), Red Lava (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors and printing plates. Rookies will have Refractor, Blue, Atomic, Yellow, Gold, Orange, Red and Supers as well as plates. Joining them will be autographed parallels of the inserts with the 3-D (/99) having Orange, Red and Supers. The Virtuosic cards (/TBD) will head only Orange and Supers while Scouts autos (/TBD) will only have supers. Invicta (/99) will have Gold Atomics (/50), Orange, Red and Supers while ROY Favorites (/150) will have Gold, Orange, Red and Supers. Rounding things out will be dual prospect autos (/25) with Supers their only parallels as well as a Bowman Ultimate auto book (/10) and then prep All-American autos and then Bowman Buybacks.
