What's buzz-worthy: After more than a decade on the bench, Pristine returns to the Topps MLB lineup with a familiar approach of encased hits and more possible with packs inside of packs just like it was around 2005.

The Basics: Formally, each Pack contains one encased autograph or encased base Pristine parallel and two base parallels ... or they can have one auto Relic and seven base cards. ... There will be 10 Refractors and five inserts per box in this one with base from a 300-card set including past and present stars. Refractors will be one per pack while all will be found encased. The Refractors include Blue (/75), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Black cards. There also will be Purple (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors not encased. ... The inserts will include three sets -- Pristine Borders (20 international stars), Pure Power (sluggers) and Fresh Faces (rookie and young stars). ... Encased autos will include Pristine Refractors (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25) and 1/1 Black for basic cards. Joining them will be Popular Demand autos with Gold, Orange, Red and Supers as well as Pure Power (Gold, Orange and Supers only), Fresh Faces (same) and then Pristine Pair autos with Refractors (/5) and a 1/1 Super. ... Auto Relics will include just two sets -- Slice of the Star and Popular Demand. Slice parallels will include Refractor (/99), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Supers for parallels while Popular will include Orange, Pink (/15), Red and Supers.
