First Buzz: 2023-24 Donruss basketball cards + Choice details

What's buzz-worthy: Donruss hits the court with the same 30-card pack format as previous years and with only one auto per box, but it also continues with the tradition of a boatload of inserts and parallels in every box ... 60!

The Basics: The base set size was not announced and the parallel lineup was not detailed in full, either, but there will be Silver Die-Cut Press Proofs (/75), Blue Laser Holos (/49), Gold Die-Cut Press Proofs (/25), Gold Laser Holo (/10) and 1/1 Black Laser Holo cards for starters. Among the autographs in this one will be Rated Rookies Signatures (with parallels), Next Day Autographs, Dominators and Rookie Dominators. ... Among the rarer case-level "SSP" inserts will be Night Moves and Animation, while other inserts will include Zero Gravity, Retro Series, Crunch Time, Unleashed, Net Marvels and new Hardwood Masters cards. ... Boxes will carry an increased suggested retail price of $175.

Choice details: Arriving on Feb. 2, there will be 10-card Choice boxes made for this release (20 boxes per case) that will include two autographs and three Choice parallels. For veterans and rookies there will be Red (/99), Blue (/49), Gold (/10), Black Gold (/8), Black (1/1) and Dragon parallels just like last year. ... Autograph parallel details were not released in full but there will be at least Black Gold and Blue versions that were among the teased Choice cards and Next Day autos also will be in play in this format. ... They will carry a suggested retail price of $165.
