What's buzz-worthy: Origins hits the NBA court for its fifth season with a new crop of rookies and plenty more to chase.

The Basics: There will be three parallels/inserts and two base cards per box in this one atop the hits. The base set size was not detailed in full for this release but some of the parallels will include Red, Blue (/99), Orange (/75), Turqoise (/25), Gold (/10), Green (/5) and 1/1 Black cards as well as new Neon Stripes (/49) and Tessellated versions. ... The rookie jersey auto cards will include at least Pink, Blue and Black parallels, while there also will be standard rookie autos, Universal autos and then Elevation Signatures to hunt just like last year. New this time will be Elevation parallels -- Red (/49) and Pink (/25). ... There also will be books -- Six Star Signatures and rookie auto patches with 1/1 Black parallels for both. ... Among inserts will be Originals, Dawn, Roots of Greatness, Tiger Eyes (listed as an "SSP") and new Cosmic Storm cards. Each of these will have Red (/75) and Gold (/10) parallels, while another rarer find will be "SP" base variations (Curry in gallery). ... Boxes will once again carry a suggested retail price of $150.

Update (H2 boxes): There also will be H2 boxes for this release ($60 SRP; 20 boxes per case) with 36 cards inside. They will include 28 base cards, two parallels and then six inserts/insert parallels. Exclusive parallels in this one will be Maroon (/115), Pink (/60) and Basketball like last year and add Neon Green (/25) and Cosmos into the lineup, too. ... Also in there will be H2-only Catapults, Euphoria, Nucleus and Taking the Leap inserts with Pink (/99) and Turquoise (/25) versions as well as "SSP" inserts Big Bang and Snake Eyes. ... For ink, Turquoise parallels will be in play exclusively in this format with that color limited to 15 copies.
