What's buzz-worthy: Donruss NFL arrives for another season with boxes that are jam-packed with a little bit of everything -- Rookie Cards, autographs, memorabilia and rare-chase inserts.

The Basics: Hobby boxes will include 18 Rated Rookies and 12 parallels along with 42 other insert cards along with the hits just like last year. And that's not all as there will be one base/rookie "no-name" card and five Aqueous Test parallels to be found, too. ... The base set will include 400 base cards. Each will be paralleled -- not detailed in advance -- and also in play will be Champions cards as well as other inserts such as Gridiron Kings, All-Time Gridiron Kings and Rookie Gridiron Kings. Rarer chases will be case-level chases in the Gridiron Marvels, Downtown! and Unleashed sets. ... Among the hits will be auto versions of Rated Rookies, Gridiron Kings, Retro 2003 and Champ Is Here for starters. ... Packs once again will carry a suggested retail price of $8.33 ($149.94 per box).

Update (Aug. 24): There also will be factory sets made for this release arriving on Nov. 24 with each 400-card set arriving with five Donruss Optic Holo Rated Rookie preview cards (that set size not revealed but there are 100 RCs in the standard set). There will be eight sets per case for this format with sets carrying a suggested retail price of $60.
