What's buzz-worthy: Chrome Update gets a bit of a revamp that guarantees autographs in now two box formats, includes some new inserts only found here and it's also the home of the one-of-a-kind MLB Debut game-worn patch cards introduced this season.

The Basics: Jumbo packs will include 12 cards and each box of that format will include at least one parallel per pack. Hobby packs will include four cards and boxes will include six parallels and three Prism Refractors. ... The base set will be 220 cards with 18 parallels in hobby packs. Joining the standard Refractors will be Prism, Negative, Magenta (/399), Magenta/Purple Lava Lamp (/275), Purple (/250), Aqua (/199), Aqua/Blue Lava Lamp (/175), Blue (/150), Blue/Green Lava Lamp (/125), Green (/99), Gold (/50), Gold Mini-Diamond (/50), Orange (/25), Red/Orange Lava Lamp (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors and printing plates. ... There will be variations in the mix as well with a smaller rainbow of parallels that include Green Speckle (/99), Gold Speckle (/50), Orange Speckle (/25), Red Speckle (/5) and 1/1 Supers.

Among the inserts will be 2023 All-Star Game Chrome cards for 50 players in the annual events, Action Stars, Titans, 1988 Topps and Future Stars. Parallels on those will be Green, Gold, Orange, Red and Supers at the same volumes. But that's not all for inserts as there will be six other sets in this one with most only having Supers for parallels. Celebración (/99) will have Gold, Orange, Red and Supers. Found one per case will be Crushed! cards, while a "super limited" find will be Diamond Dominance as well as Let's Go! cards. (Go will have Red parallels.) Joining them will be Chrome Exposé and Radiating Rookies that are also "super limited" cards.

Among the autographs will be several sets with ink. Basic autos will include Refractors (/499), Purple Speckle (/299), Purple (/250), Aqua Wave (/199), Blue (/150), Blu RayWave (/150), Gold (/50), Gold Wave (/50), Orange (/25), Orange Wave (/25), Red (/5), Red Wave (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors and printing plates. ... There also will be Action Stars (/25), All-Stars (/TBD) with X-Fractors (/125), Gold, Orange, Red and Supers as well as Future Stars autos (/99 max) with Orange, Red and Supers. Dual-auto cards (/10) will have Reds and Supers as will the triples, while 1988 Topps Chrome autos (/50) will have Orange, Red and Supers. ... The 1/1 MLB Debut patch cards will be found in this one as the only memorabilia cards in the release.
