What's buzz-worthy: Origins hits the NBA court for a new season with a new crop of rookies and plenty more to chase in a pair of box formats this time around.

The Basics: There will be three inserts and two base cards per hobby box in this one atop the hits. The base set size was not detailed in full for this release, but parallels will include Tessellated, Red (/299), Blue (/99), Orange (/75), Neon Stripes (/49), Turquoise (/25), Gold (/10), Green (/5) and 1/1 Black cards as well as new White (/60) and Opal (/15). ... Hits will include rookie jersey autos, rookie autos, Primitive autos, Elevation autos, Universal autos, Blue Moon autos, rookie auto booklets, Six Star Signatures books, Constellation autos and dual autos for starters. Logoman patch cards also will be in play here along with Origination memorabilia cards. ... Among rarer inserts will be Tiger Eyes, White Tiger Eyes, Saber Tooth Tiger Eyes and Origin Stories. ... Boxes will carry an increased suggested retail price of $175.

H2 boxes: There also will be H2 boxes for this release ($75 SRP; 20 boxes per case) with 36 cards inside. They will guarantee eight inserts (two of those being parallels). Black and White (/15) and Base Amethyst (/8) parallels are in play here. ... "SSP" Snake Eyes are exclusive to H2 and will have White Snake Eyes and Black Snake Eyes versions. For ink, Turquoise parallels will be in play exclusively in this format for both rookie patch autos and other autograph sets as seen in the gallery.
