First Buzz: 2024 Leaf Electrum Football cards

What's buzz-worthy: Leaf brings its new line to the gridiron with a mix of past and present icons as well as potential newcomers on NIL deals, too, enhancing the colorful lineup of stars.

The Basics: Micro-etched holofoil technology will again be a highlight here and each case of this one will include two Crystal Ball redemption cards -- good for an autographed card if a player makes the challenge noted on the card a reality -- as well as two legends autos and one multi-signed card. This one will include a number of sets/subsets and parallel shades. Among them? Red White & Blue, Electrum Avenue, Power Trio, The Portal, Spectrum Stars, Prospects, Intermetallic and Heavy Metal for starters. Among teased signers are Brock Purdy, Dan Marino, Peyton Manning, Jonathan Brooks, Carson Beck, Shedeur Sander, Cameron Ward, D.J. Lagway, Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels for starters. Oh, and there will be other football surprises like the dual-auto seen above.

Update (Sept. 11): There also will be a Solo Edition release for this one with 50 single-card packs per case. In that one, 60 percent of packs will have an auto, while the rest will have base cards with everything limited to 59 copies or less. Only 400 cases will be made for the format with each case including a Crystal Ball card. There also will be on auto per case from Williams, Daniels, Beck or Sanders.
