First Buzz: 2024 Panini Mosaic football cards

What's buzz-worthy: Mosaic arrives for its fifth NFL campaign with not only the familiar looks and colorful, texture-filled finds from this brand but also with some new stuff to chase.

The Basics: Each box once again will include five Silver parallels, 15 more Mosaic parallels and 20 more inserts along with the hits and base just like previous years. ... The base set size was not disclosed in advance -- nor were the parallel lineups -- but colors for some will include Black, Purple Gold, Blue and the Tessellation texture for starters. ... Among inserts will be Money, Micro and Stained Glass cards that Panini calls "case-chase SSPs," while hits will include In Focus Signatures, rookie autos and Showtime Signatures. ... Boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $275.

Update (Nov. 22): There will be eight-card Choice boxes (SRP $250) for this one with 20 boxes per case and one autograph per pack/box. They'll also include one Silver parallel, one Mosaic, two Choice rookies and three Mosaic parallels just like last year. In addition, there will be No Huddle boxes (SRP $200) with 12 12-card packs inside (20 boxes per case) with those having one auto, three Silvers, 10 No Huddle parallels and five inserts. Both formats will arrive in late December.
