What's buzz-worthy: Allen & Ginter arrives once again -- this time after the season -- with all the eccentricities, plenty of baseball players and a new retro design based on some of the 1880s tobacco card designs that helped bring some of the first baseball cards to the masses long, long ago.

The Basics: The full details and images are still to come but there are some new twists this time, including Chrome variations for some cards in the set for both standard and mini cards. The set size, mini SPs, minis in Rip Cards, Stained Glass and Cloth cards also are back, based on the checklist, and the same applies to the Relics sets -- two standard styles and a framed version. There also will be DNA Relics, cut autos, Relic cut autos, new Lineup Card Relics (and signed versions), autographed Relic books (some with two players) and more. Also in play will be dual- and quad-auto cards, full-size autos, box-loader autos, Rip Cards (singles and doubles), box-topper Rip Cards, original art cards, In Action variations, Cycle Succession inserts, Sister Sister (sister cities), X-Rayd, Ballpark Bites (foods), Flags, World's Tallest Mountains, Batoids Beneath, 50 States, Got The Itch, Swamp Creatures, rookie variations, a World Series champs set, Uniform Countdown, Buzzin' and more box-loaders. Boxes are $124.99 at arrival via Topps.

Among the surprise non-baseball inclusions here? Mallory Swanson, Usain Bolt, Sheryl Swoopes, Kid Laroi, Caleb Williams, Quavo, Danielle Fishel, Jeff Probst, Chuck Norris, Travis Scott, Katie Ledecky, Jayden Daniels and John Daly.

Among the cut autos: Amelia Earhart, Cy Young, Edmund Hillary, Frederick Douglass, Hank Aaron, John Quincy Adams, John Wayne, Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Ted Williams, Woodrow Wilson, Babe Ruth, John F. Kennedy and Jackie Robinson for starters.

Update (Oct. 8): The hits will once again include autos, Relics, book cards, Rip Cards, cut autos and buybacks. ... Parallels will include Foil Filagree (one per box), Gold Foil Filagree (/50), Silver Hot Box and 1/1 Glossy along with Chromes that will include Chrome Minis. For full-size Chrome, there will be Refractor (one per box), X-fractor (one per case), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Supers. Minis will have Gold, Orange, Red and Supers at same volumes. Minis will have the typical A&G, Black, No Number, Brooklyn (/25) and 1/1 Wood and 1/1 Glossy along with retail Gold. The SPs will have the same. There also will be Mtetal, Stained Glass, printing plates and Cloth (/10) as usual.

Hits will include Mini Relics, Relics, DNA Relics, cut autos, Relic cut autos, framed originals and the Lineup Card Relics as mentioned -- a 1/1 card. Framed autos will have standard, Blue Frame (/50), Black Frame (/25) and "limited" Red Ink. There also will be Relic book autos (/10) with duals (/10) and signed Lineup Card Relics that are also 1/1s. The cards inside the box-loader Rip cards can include 1/1 art, mini exclusives, mini Metal (/3), Mini Wood (1/1) or mini Stained Glass variations.
