What's buzz-worthy: Topps heads back to the Octagon once again this year with a "black Chrome technology utilizing a variety of colors" approach on the action as part of a new brand.

The Basics: The full details were not revealed in advance, but Midnight will include "autograph relics of yesterday, today and tomorrow's top UFC fighters and a collection of short-printed inserts" with a 100-card base set that will have "a multitude of parallels."

This one will update with more info and images when they are formally made available.

Update (April 19): Boxes opened at $299.99 via Topps ($3,599.99 per case) ... no other info was released.

Update (April 24): Full info is here with the base set's parallels including Moon Beam, Morning (/125), Twilight (/99), Dusk (/75), Moonrise (/25), Midnight (/12), Daybreak (/5) and 1/1 Black Light. ... There will be four insert sets -- Night Stars, Lunar Tide, Constellations and The One And Only -- and each will have Moon Beam, Twilight, Moonrise, Midnight, Daybreak and Black Light parallels at same volumes as base. .... There will also be four "case hit" inserts with odds varying between one in 53 packs and one in 79. They're Dream Chasers (easiest), Moonfall, Twilight (rarest) and After Hours. Each will have a Daybreak and a Black Light parallel. ... Autographs will gave four sets here -- Relic Autos, Glimmer Graphs, Stroke Of Midnight and Horizon signatures. Each will have Twilight (/99 max), Moon Beam (/49 max), Moonrise (/25 max), Midnight (/12 max), Daybreak (/5) and 1/1 Black Light. Standard versions will not be numbered.
