What's buzz-worthy: Donruss returns to the NBA hardwood with not one, not two, but three autos per box this time around -- including Panini-exclusive rookie standout V.J. Edgecombe -- and with a starting box price that is far less than it was just last year.

The Basics: There will be 24 Optic inserts per box along with eight other inserts and 12 base parallels this time -- that's 44 inserts per box -- along with the ink and base cards from a base set that includes "top superstars, legends, rookies and top NIL prospects" all in one spot. Some cards will feature a Panini Premier logo noting a prospect’s first card from the company. ... Among parallel colors and textures teased across varying sets will be Gold, Black, Peacock, Gold Vinyl. Base parallels will range from /199 down to one, while Optic stuff will be /175 down to one. ... Among sets here will be Elite Series, Downtown, Slammy!, Night Moves, Swish, Unleashed, Net Marvels and Zero Gravity with parallels in play there -- even for some "SSP" inserts. ... Among the hits -- autographs -- will be Elite Signatures, Fade to Greatness, duals, Hardwood Kings, License to Drive, Pen Pals, Art Signatures (vertical and horizontal) and Inscriptions with on-card sigs.

Among teased signers are  Jeremiah Fears, Tre Johnson, Carter Bryant, Hugo Gonzalez, Derik Queen, Cedric Coward, Hansen Yang, Cade Cunningham, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ja Morant, Trae Young, Chris Webber, Julius Erving, Kevin Garnett, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Steve Nash. ... Among prospects signing on NIL deals are Darius Acuff Jr., Yaxel Lendeborg, Jayden Quaintance, Karim Lopez, Meleek Thomas, Sarah Strong, Azzi Fudd, Olivia Miles, Lauren Betts, Tyran Stokes Jordan Smith Jr., Jason Crowe Jr., Babatunde Oladotun and Christian Collins.

Also coming in this one? Cards for coaching icons Jim Calhoun, Dan Hurley, Todd Golden, Jim Boeheim, Bobby Knight and Roy Williams along with cards for entertainers that include Ludacris, Spike Lee and Dick Vitale. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $110.
