What's buzz-worthy: Topps Chrome will return to the officially licensed NBA hardwood for the first time in 16 years as a follow-up to two seasons of partial-licensing releases -- and we have some autographs and inserts as early teasers to prove it.

The Basics: There are no details for now -- this will update when full info is formally unveiled -- beyond Helix and Fanatical inserts and then Stratospheric autos to go with past and present signers on standard Chrome cards.

Update: More details are in with the base set to include 299 cards "bursting with a rainbow of color and tech parallels featuring the NBA’s top rookies, star veterans and iconic legends" as well as Frozenfractors. ... Inserts will include Activators, Inspirational, Tall Tales and X's and Whoa's, while "ultra-rare" case hits and inserts will include Ultra Violet, Helix, Glass Canvas, Advisory, Paradox and Patented. ... Also in this one will be Gold NBA Logoman Relics (/4) from jerseys worn by award winners: MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle and Defensive Player of the Year Evan Mobley. There also will be a 1/1 autographed version there. ... Among signed cards will be Autograph Issue with rookies in hobby packs and veterans/retirees in retail. Joining them will be Future Stars autos and Next Stop Signatures.

Update (Nov. 12): There will be 24 parallels per base card in hobby boxes alone with Refractors including standard, Prism, Negative, Magenta (/399), Teal (/299), Yellow (/275), Aqua (/199), Blue (/150), Green (/99), Purple (/75), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5), FrozenFractors (/-5) and 1/1 Superfractors. They will be joined by Rave, Blue Wave (/150), Green Wave (/99), Purple Wave (/75), Gold Wave (/50), Orange Wave (/25), Black Wave (/10) and Red Wave (/5). In jumbos, First Day Issue parallels will be one in 87 packs. In retail, an array of colors will be found for Basketball Refractors as well as Pulsar, RayWave and more. Based on early info there, it looks like there will be 30 parallels per card. Breaker boxes will add Geometric Refractors with Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5) and White (/2).

Inserts will include Youthquake, Sleek Finishers, Destiny, Instinct, Voices, Loading ..., Generation Rising, Tall Tales, Clutch Gene, Xs & Whoas, Go Time, Ball of Duty, Inspirational, Activators and Serenity for starters with full parallel lineups to come. "SSP" case hits will include 451, Rock Stars, Ultra Violet All-Stars, Radiating Rookies, Advisory, Paradox, Let's Go!, Glass Canvas, Patented, Helix, Finals and Fanatical with most of those (but not all) having only Superfractor parallels. Breaker boxes will have their typical Geometric parallels for inserts.

Chrome autos will have standard Refractors as well as Blue (/150, Green (/99), Purple (/75), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Supers. The Sky-write Signatures, Next Stop Signatures, Signature Style, Future Stars, Autograph Issue, Autograph Issue Rookies, Chromographs and Stratospheric Signatures sets will have similar parallel lineups. breaker boxes will have Geometric auto parallels across the board.

Sapphire Edition will include one autograph per 32-card box and inserts will include Sapphire Selections and also Infinite Sapphire (one in 160 packs). Base parallels will include Purple (/75), Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Black (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Padparadscha. Selections parallels will include Gold, Orange, Red and Supers at same volumes. There will be Sapphire Chrome autos as well as Sky-write, Autograph Issue, Next Stop and Signature Style Sapphire autos and all will have Gold, Orange, Black, Red and Padparadscha parallels.

Full parallel lineups will be added to the gallery once formally released.
