What's buzz-worthy: Cryptozoic's high-end line goes prehistoric at some point soon, but later this month a Preview Box arrives to get things hatching for the long-running film franchise showcasing all those famous dinosaurs.

The Preview Box Basics: Just 500 Preview Boxes will be made with each including a nine-card preview set and then one encased card that will either be a Wayne Knight as Dennis Nedry autograph or one of four concept images cards (/99 apiece) that also will have a 1/1 black-foil parallel. The base cards are limited to 499 copies as each card also has a 1/1 black-foil parallel. ... The autograph cards will be roughly one in five boxes and have a (/99) standard version (black ink-signature with gold numbering) joined by two parallels -- green-ink signature with green numbering (/5) and a 1/1 red-ink signature with black numbering. Preview boxes will be $99.99 at the company's booth during the show.

Sketch cards also will be in play for the standard release "inspired by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment’s original three Jurassic Park movies" and more info on that one will be released and added here at a later date. The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III are the others.

Update (Sept. 15): The details for the regular release are here. There will be a 54-card base set and four insert sets for this one -- Amber, CZX STR PWR, CZX DINO PWR and Production Concept Cards. In play in every box will be one autograph -- singles, duals, triples and signed sketch cards among them -- as well as one standard sketch card. There will be one parallel per box as well with those including Red (/199), Green (/93), Silver (/10) and 1/1 Black with those across all card types (base/insert). They also will be joined by printing plates. A binder with an exclusive DINO PWR card also will be available for this release. The PWR cards, Concept Cards, Amber and parallels are all planned to arrive one per box on average. The Amber cards are acetate to make for a fossilized look. No signers have yet been teased for this release.
