What's buzz-worthy: Optic drops for a new year as a flashier take on Donruss football cards with 20 Rated Rookies cards per box for starters and even more to chase for one last time with full NFL licensing.

The Basics: Boxes also will deliver four inserts and 12 parallels (nine of those numbered) similar to past years. ... The base set size was net yet revealed but there will be more than 15 hobby-only parallels for all of them this time with Black Pandora, Ice, Green and Gold Vinyl. ... Rookie autographs will include singles, dual and triples along with Rated Rookie Rookie Photo Shoot autos with on-card sigs. ... Also in the mix will be Downtown cards with dual versions as well as a legends version. Also in play will be some 2015 Donruss Throwbacks and My House inserts as well as Rookie Kings and Sunday Kings cards. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $365.

Update: There also will be 32-card H2 boxes for this release with eight packs per box and 20 boxes per case. They will include 12 Rated Rookies, five inserts, one base Holo Prizm, one Rated Rookie Holo Prizm and five Red Mojo or Blue Mojo parallels (/55) each time. Other inserts and autos found in hobby will be in play here, too. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $220.
