What's buzz-worthy: The full Topps Chrome details are still to come but the basics and early teasers are here for when the latest flagship release hits colorful and flashy plastic with "an all-new lineup of jaw-dropping inserts and exciting Chrome parallels."

The Basics: The base set once again will be 300 cards for this one -- up from 220 two years ago -- with four formats teased. They will include hobby, jumbo, mega boxes and blasters. Megas will be the home to 10 X-Fractor parallels while blasters will guarantee four Sepia parallels. Early teasers show a Fanatical set, World Series, Future Stars and Power Player insert cards.

Hobby boxes opened at $199.99 via Topps with jumbos opening at $399.99. Mega boxes opened at $64.99 and blasters at $39.99.

Update (June 23): The checklist has been added above and among the inclusions here will be some "super short-prints" (an apparently TBD variation) as well as image variations, Award Winners variations, Radiating Rookies, a 1990 insert, Future Stars, All Etch, All Etch Rookie Rush, Fortune 15, Power Players, Youthquake, Ultra Violet, Shadow Etch, Hobby Masters, World Series At Night, Lightning Leaders, Exposé, Home Field Advantage, Let's Go, Helix, MVP buybacks, Fanatical, Numbers Live Forever, Cooperstown Calls, Champion and Fanatics Authentics redemptions.

For autos, there will be rookies, legends, World Series champs, 1990 Topps, Radiating Rookies, Ultra Violet, Future Stars, All Etch, All Etch Rookie Rush, Chromographs, dual autos, triple autos, MVP buyback autos, Cooperstown autos, Numbers autos and the arrival of the Gold Logoman auto-mem cards featuring award-winner logo patches worn on the field as well as unsigned versions for those same players' cards -- Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Chris Sale and Paul Skenes.

Among the deep list of rookie autos will be Chandler Simpson, Drake Baldwin, Dylan Crews, James Wood, Kumar Rocker, Nick Kurtz, Luisangel Acuña, Roki Sasaki and Spencer Schwellenbach. Among the legend autos will be Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, Bo Jackson, Chipper Jones, Derek Jeter, George Brett, Greg Maddux, Mark McGwire, Mike Schmidt and Sandy Koufax. World Series autos will include Pujols, Rodriguez, Buster Posey, Johnny Bench, Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson, Paul Molitor and Tom Glavine among others.
