What's buzz-worthy: A new year of Tier One arrives soon with "no fluff, just hits" -- and with one base card in there each time, too, as it delivers "serious weight" as part of what Topps says is "a high-end dive into the heart of the hobby."

The Basics: The checklist and odds can be seen above and this one will include "grail-level relics from the game's biggest names." Among the autos are Top Shelf (/99 max), City Connect (/99 max), Tier One Shots (/99 max), Clearly Perfect, bat knob stickers (above), Limited Lumber, All-Star jumbo patches and Prodigious Patches to start. The base set will be tiered in this one "with new Tier 1 and Tier 2 [cards] rounding out a product built for serious collectors." There also will be a third tier, according to the checklist, making the base set 100 cards. Parallels will be in play with auto sets and there also will be base auto variations (/25 max).

Among signers in this one will be Bo Jackson, David Ortiz, Cal Ripken Jr., Sandy Koufax, Johnny Bench, Clayton Kershaw, Elly De La Cruz, Juan Soto, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Ronald Acuña Jr., Tarik Skubal, James Wood, Aaron Judge, Albert Pujols, Derek Jeter, George Brett, Ichiro Suzuki, Hideki Matsui, Ken Griffey Jr., Paul Skenes, Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, Bobby Witt Jr. and Mark McGwire for starters.

Among cut autos in this one will be Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, Cy Young, Harry Houdini, Honus Wagner, Jimmie Foxx, Kirby Puckett, Lou Gehrig, Marlon Brando, Mickey Mantle, Pee Wee Reese, Roberto Clemente, Roger Maris, Satchel Paige, Thomas Edison, Tom Seaver, Ulysses S. Grant, Walter Johnson and Willie Mays.

Some boxes will include an extra hit to make them a five-card box.
