Leaf reveals promo card plans for this year's National

Leaf Trading Cards will have some chase cards up for grabs at this year's National Sports Collectors Convention.

The company revealed a box-break redemption set, a case-break redemption set, its VIP card set and a buying program for the show that kicks off on July 28 in Chicago.

Collectors who open any hobby box of a Leaf release from 2021 (and that includes some 2020 branded releases) will receive one 1992 Pro Set style promo card of Mac Jones, Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Trey Lance or Justin Fields. If they open five boxes at the company's booth (No. 864) they will receive all five cards. A black-and-white Lawrence chase card will also be in the mix.

For those who open a case of product (eligible products TBD and announced on July 15) at the booth, they will receive one 1992 Pro Set card per box opened as well as receive a 2021 Leaf National Signature Series box that will have a 1/1 autograph every time. Those will have a number of colorful possibilities and some of the signers will include Lawrence, Mike Tyson, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry and Ken Griffey Jr. for starters.

VIP show ticket holders will get a four-card set that includes Spencer Torkelson, Blaze Jordan, Lawrence and Fields.

Last but not least, those who sell cards and memorabilia to Leaf for its buyback releases will also have a shot at bonus cards with a 1992 Pro Set bonus card for buys over $100 and a five-card 1992 Pro Set set for those over $1,000.
