Mystery Box Buzz Break: American Pickers antique blind bag
This entry was posted on December 9, 2025.

Mystery Box Buzz Break is a new series here on The Buzz -- it's essentially a Buzz Break but only for "mystery boxes" that seem to be everywhere these days -- and not just in the sports realm. Like this and want to see more? Is there a box you'd want to see busted? Send Buzz an email at BlowoutBuzz@blowoutcards.com.
The mystery box: Antique Archaeology Antique Stocking Stuffer Blind Bag (that's the Iowa-based antique shop of American Pickers' Mike Wolfe)
Where to buy: Via their site ... find cards BlowoutCards.com
Keep reading for a full breakdown and a gallery of what was in this on.
Items in this mystery box: No details ... it's just a bag to "give the gift of a surprise this year" as "our Antique Stocking Stuffer Blind Bags contain authentic antique and vintage smalls."
The Cost: $24.99
What's Buzz-worthy: I'll do this as a visual rundown and let the items speak for themselves -- it was an oddity for sure -- but also reveal what got me to bite on one of these at the end. For those who don't know, "smalls" are oddball items with some kind of collectable interest ... I had figured there would be a single item or two inside. This one had 11 pieces.

First ... A vintage key made by The Graham Manufacturing Company ... apparently people are interested in the varying styles and designs of vintage keys.

Second ... Two quarter-sized pieces of petrified/fossil wood? (No clue to be honest.)

Third ... A (1970s/1980s?) Hilton Hotels unused match book. (I know matchbooks can be collectable.)

Fourth ... A set of four vintage tin toy car tires. (I think ... if these are originals they could sell for a decent amount in some cases. These are clean and unused plastic or similar material that probably broke often back in the day.)

Fifth ... A sealed 1960s/1970s Impko window travel decal -- Pennsylvania Dutch Country. (Original and sealed ... with a $10 shop sticker on the back that I can't remove. Go figure.) I vaguely remember seeing stuff similar to this in tourist/highway pit stops as a kid in the early 1980s.
Sixth ... A pair of 1921 Exide Batteries Service Station maintenance cards (I think) for Steel City Electric Company in Homestead, Pa. (They may have been stuck together, giving me a bonus item. ... also, the typical price of these on eBay is around $20?)

Last thought: That was an interesting mix ... I like the paper goods and flat items perhaps the best as I know how I'd store stuff like that. Not sure what I'd do with the others but I do see how an automotive or road theme can add appeal.

Now ... why did I bite? A Black Friday deal. With a $25 purchase off of their site, one could land an American Pickers shirt signed by Mike Wolfe as a bonus item. I threw in a $2 shop pin to get me to the amount and got the shirt.
- My $2 pin

Product Grade: B (I have no idea on costs here for these kinds of things)
Box Grade: B (this might be a winner for the cost of these types of items)
Fun Grade: A+ (definitely odd ... but I did it all for the bonus auto, which I've included in this grade)
